At Lee College in Cleveland, Tennessee, Kevin was the principal accompanist for
The Lee Singers and student director of a smaller ensemble, Second
Edition, for three years. Active in many college activities, Kevin's
primary responsibilities were for his fraternity as president,
and as editor of the school newspaper.
Upon graduation, Kevin moved to Florida and became the Minister of Music and
Youth at Ocala Shores Church of God (now Wings of Faith Fellowship).
Less than a year later, he moved to Orlando to become the Coordinator
of Music at Calvary Assembly, an Assembly of God church with over
3,500 members. He was later promoted to Assistant Minister of Music.
During his four years in Orlando, Kevin also played for hundreds
of weddings and was a solo pianist for Walt Disney World and Hyatt
Regency hotels.
In 1995, Kevin moved to Miami, continuing his church pianist involvement
while obtaining his Masters in Broadcast Journalism from The University of
Miami in 1996.For the next five years, Kevin worked as a news anchor and
reporter for WCJB TV20, an ABC affiliate in the Gainesville-Ocala market.
He earned two first-place Associated Press awards for his work there.
In 2001, he became the public relations and communications officer
for Marion County Public Schools, which has over 43,000 students
and more than 6,000 employees.
Kevin currently serves as the minister of music at Wings of Faith Fellowship
in Ocala, where he directs the complete music program and leads praise and
worship for four weekly services.
In between jobs, Kevin enjoys collecting fine crystal, going to auctions,
and staying at home! He also is a freelance writer, a contributing writer
to Ocala Style Magazine. |
